Physical activity is important for maintaining a healthy lifestyle and can be a key component for preventing injury or to remain pain free during normal active daily living tasks. However, approximately 75% of the Australian population are not getting sufficient amounts of physical activity to maintain health or more importantly prevent injury.
Exercise as a sub component of physical activity is also an important strategy to complete rehabilitation for most injuries. It is also the most adequate form of treatment to prevent a relapse.
PhysioEx Group classes that are offered at Core Physiotherapy and Pilates Studio are a great way to receive a personalised exercise program that is designed from one of our expert Physiotherapists specified for your goals and condition.
Clinical exercise supervised by a Physiotherapist is recognised in the medical field to help rehabilitate many conditions that can include back injuries, frozen shoulder, hand or foot disorders, shoulder dysfunction, headaches, muscle imbalance and postural problems to name a few.
Sticking to an exercise program can be daunting to many individuals particularly if exercise is new. Many drop out of exercise since the movements are new to them and they are unsure if they are performing the exercise correctly. That’s why our PhysioEx Group classes will include one on one sessions to ensure that the client is performing each movement correctly and will be guided into the group classes once both the Physiotherapist and client is confident that they can perform the exercises adequately.
Within each one on one session the Physiotherapist will focus on delivering strengthening, stretching and stabilising exercises. Once the client is ready to transition from one on one session’s to group classes, they have many options to choose from our weekly time table to book into. Each of the classes can be filled with a maximum of 4 people that have their own individualised exercise program and of course will be supervised by one of our Physiotherapists. If you need any more information, you can make an appointment with one of our Physios at a location near you.
