Happy International Women’s Day from the team at Core Physio Marion! It’s a day to celebrate the incredible achievements & accomplishments of women of all ages, everywhere. Core Physiotherapy is proud to be home to many talented women across a multitude of roles.
We’re thrilled to introduce our experienced Women’s Health Physiotherapists, who specialise in providing exceptional care to women not just today, but year-round. Our Women’s Health team are trained in techniques to manage women’s pelvic health, continence issues, pregnancy and postpartum health. Women’s health can be beneficial for women of all ages, not just those who are pregnant or have had a baby.
Here at Core Physio Marion, Women’s Health treatment is offered by the incredible Sophie Hall, Nicola Nimon & Candice Chen.

Women’s health is a topic that affects half of the world’s population, yet it often remains shrouded in silence and stigma. From menstruation to menopause, reproductive health to pelvic floor concerns, there are numerous aspects of women’s health that deserve open conversations. It’s time to shed light on these essential topics that impact the lives of women everywhere.
Our Women’s Health team can provide education and assistance with the following areas:

• Pelvic floor dysfunction
• Pregnancy related musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction
• Diastasis rectus abdominis post pregnancy (also known as DRAM)

• Pregnancy and post-partum education and recommendations
• Hydrotherapy and real-time ultrasound
• Prolapse
In addition to these services, we are thrilled to offer specialised exercise classes for both prenatal and postnatal women in our Pilates studio facilities. Our Women’s Health Physiotherapists can tailor exercises to suit your individual needs during and after your pregnancy by combining core stability exercises, pelvic floor strengthening, stretching and mobility exercises. This will provide relief for symptoms that may develop during these times.
