Did you know that physiotherapists are primary care practitioners? This means that you are able to make an initial consultation with a physiotherapist without the need for a Doctor’s referral.
If you have a musculoskeletal condition such as lower back or neck pain, a torn muscle following a footy game or that constant nagging headache that won’t go away and allow you to concentrate at work, then you can book straight into a physiotherapist and get it sorted out sooner rather than later.
Since 2006, after the passing of a Federal Government initiative, physiotherapist’s have also been to prescribe you with a legal sick certificate if they feel in their professional opinion that you are unfit to be at work. This process now makes it quicker to get you on the road to recovery and also help satisfy the requirements of your employers.
