We’re thrilled to introduce the fantastic team at Core Physio Marion who have a special interest in Women’s Health. You might already be familiar with Sophie, our dedicated Women’s Health physiotherapist, who has been an integral part of our team for nearly three years. With a wealth of experience, Sophie has been providing exceptional care to Women’s Health patients for the past two years.
But that’s not all – we have some exciting news to share! We’re expanding our Women’s Health services with the addition of two more skilled physiotherapists: Nicola and Candice. Both Nicola and Candice bring their expertise and passion to our team and will also be available to provide top-notch care to women’s health patients.
Women’s health is a topic that affects half of the world’s population, yet it often remains shrouded in silence and stigma. From menstruation to menopause, reproductive health to pelvic floor concerns, there are numerous aspects of women’s health that deserve open conversations. It’s time to break the taboos and shed light on these essential topics that impact the lives of women everywhere.
Our women’s health team can provide education and assistance with the following areas:
- Urinary incontinence
- Overactive bladder
- Bowel dysfunction
- Pelvic floor dysfunction
- Pregnancy related musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction
- Diastasis rectus abdominis post pregnancy (also known as DRAM)
- Varicosities (vulval and lower limb)
- Pregnancy and post-partum education and recommendations
- Hydrotherapy and real-time ultrasound
- Prolapse
Our lovely Sophie can also assist those requiring pessaries, rehabilitation post gynaecological surgery, TENS therapy, sexual pain, pelvic pain, birth preparation and exercise with prolapse.
In addition to our range of services, we are thrilled to offer specialized exercise classes tailored to both postnatal and prenatal women.
