Conditions Work Accident Rehabilitation Can Help With
Stages of Rehabilitation
Our rehabilitation process generally includes the following stages, adjusted based on individual needs and injury type.
1. Hands-On Physiotherapy
Initially, hands-on therapy aims to address symptoms and restore as much movement as possible. This stage includes targeted manual techniques that set the foundation for progression to more active forms of rehabilitation.
2. Home Exercise Program
We equip clients with a tailored home exercise program to continue their rehabilitation independently. These exercises are designed to manage symptoms, build resilience, and reduce the risk of re-injury.
3. Hydrotherapy
For clients with severe injuries, hydrotherapy may be an early part of rehabilitation. This water-based exercise reduces the impact of gravity, allowing for comfortable movement. Many clients find this stage beneficial, providing a supportive environment before transitioning to land-based activities.
4. Physiotherapy Group Exercises
Our group exercise sessions offer a supportive setting tailored to each client’s needs. These exercises are initially designed to be manageable and symptom-friendly. As clients advance, exercises become progressively challenging, mirroring the physical demands of their daily life or work.
5. Gym Programs
For some clients, transitioning to a gym program enhances their progress. These sessions focus on building strength and functional fitness. Our physiotherapists work with clients at their local gym to create a program that fits the available equipment, promoting long-term, self-directed exercise as part of their recovery.
