Meet Neha, Our Senior Physio at Core Physio Aberfoyle
You may regularly visit one or a couple of our practices for Physiotherapy treatments. Here is an insight into what it’s like to be a Senior Physio at one of our practices. We followed Senior Physio Neha Kamat from the Aberfoyle Park practice for a day to find out what she does during her working day!
In the morning
Neha has a bubbly, friendly and chatty personality. She checks in with reception on a daily basis to see if there are any messages from any of her patients. As well as keeping up to date with everything that is happening at the Aberfoyle practice.
Neha’s clients are her main focus. She takes extra special care when treating them by applying all of the latest techniques to her treatments. She uses items such as Rocktape when they’re needed during her treatments.
As Neha is a Senior Physio at Core Physio Aberfoyle, part of her role involves mentoring other Physios. As you can see, Neha is giving both Dan and Tom some valuable guidance and advice. She enjoys helping them to reach their full potential. This allows them to also provide their clients with the best possible treatment at all times.
Exercise as rehabilitation is an important part of the service that we offer our clients. Neha gives Dan some pointers as to how he can perfect his techniques on the reformer machine. Exercise as rehabilitation can help with the following:
- Injury prevention and rehabilitation
- Core (deep abdominal and back) muscle strength
- Overall body strength
- Posture and body awareness
- Flexibility
- Concentration
- Stress and tension relief
Neha is passionate about exercise as rehabilitation; an important part of her daily activities is taking rehab classes. She enjoys helping her clients build upon their techniques. She also works on helping improve the areas that they need to strengthen.
In the afternoon
Although Neha is super busy, she always makes sure that she has a lunch break. She loves sharing jokes and having a laugh with her colleagues. Neha also likes to see how their day is coming along and what has been happening in the Aberfoyle practice. Paperwork is difficult to avoid in any job but Neha also finds the time to take client notes as well as filling out paperwork.
