PhysioEx is a unique method of exercise developed by Core Physiotherapy and Pilates Studio and by Physiotherapists as a body conditioning program for injury prevention and rehabilitation.
PhysioEx uses Pilates inspired exercises combined with strength and conditioning training to aid in the management of injuries.
PhysioEx is suitable for a wide range of people and conditions. Some benefits of PhysioEx include injury prevention and rehabilitation, core muscle strengthening, posture and body awareness and enhanced flexibility and motion.
Before starting a PhysioEx program Physiotherapists discuss your goals, assess your posture, undertake a history of previous and current injuries, assess mobility, flexibility and muscle control. This allows the Physiotherapist to tailor a program suited to your individual goals and needs.
After your assessment, your Physiotherapist will establish a specific program based on your condition. These sessions focus on the teaching principles of breathing, posture and more.
The exercises classes are conducted with a maximum of 5 patients in a group under the supervision of a PhysioEx trained Physiotherapist. The instructor ensures correct technique and regular progression. We have a number of classes each day at the Melrose Park practice.
