The Core Physio & Pilates group now has even more physiotherapists trained in Dry Needling techniques with some of our newer physiotherapists having just completed a recent training course.
Dry needling can be used for a range of musculoskeletal conditions by inserting acupuncture needles into the muscles to stimulate blood flow to the area, either superficially to relieve trigger points, or by inserting the needles deeper to inhibit pain responses. When used alongside manual, hands on treatment, dry needling can produce excellent results such as a reduction in muscle tightness, improvement in muscle activation and can also provide pain relief.
