Scott Brown is one of our practice owners. As with all of the practice owners Scott is hands on, and works across all areas of the practices he manages. Scott bounces between the Burnside, Campbelltown and Newton sites treating patients, training Physio staff members and assisting in the practice management.
Here is a day in the life of practice owner Scott
Scott spends a fair chunk of his days training Physios and finds helping them one of the most satisfying parts of his job. Improving our skills as Health Providers is a lifelong process and all of the therapists at Core take part in meetings and continuing education on a weekly basis.
Physio Group Exercise helps with strengthening and rehabilitation, it’s one of the services that we offer here at Core Physiotherapy & Pilates Studio. Scott has come from an eilte athletic background and knows from experience that focused specific exercise can help us get the most out of our bodies. Here Scott is taking a Group Exercise session and assisting one of his clients to perform their exercises.
A varied & busy role
As we know, Scott has a varied and busy role, he works on different aspects of the practices that he runs. He enjoys treating his patients, part of this includes putting together exercise notes, writing clinical notes as well as exercise programs. Even for Physios some desk work is part of the everyday job.
Each week Scott meets with his super friendly and organised practice manager Bek, and awesome Senior Physio Ben. During their meetings they discuss the various aspects of the practice, what has been happening, and how they can continue to make things even better for staff and clients. While meetings aren’t always as fun as treating clients, they are an essential job in keeping the management team working at keeping the practice humming along smoothly.
Physios are often in their treatment rooms all day and lunch time is when staff get to catch up and have a laugh and compare lunches of course!
We look forward to seeing you at the practices! To make a booking with one of our Physios you can press this link.
